Random Quasi-Emo Stuff: On this day four years ago, I was arrested for no good reason and forced to leave my home, my sister, my dog Dee Dee and all my belongings. Everything I'd believed all my life was turned on its head and I realized that you cannot place your trust in justice or anything or anyone else; that everything in life can be gone in an instant, and that I was totally powerless to change this. I sat on a bench for two hours and wondered how I was going to survive with no money and nowhere to live. I was very lucky, and thanks to the generosity of some wonderful people, I was kept safe and looked after. Now, four years later, I've managed to get a degree, have several jobs, write stuff that people actually read and learn to figure skate. None of this would have been possible without those people; thank-you doesn't even come close. So this episode, and today's Tank Quest, are dedicated to Teri, Jackie, Nicky and Chas. Thanks guys, you're all awesome!
