Anyone with an enquiring mind is wondering what that board would be made of if it could withstand lava surfing. The board is coated in Tungsten Carbide. Obviously Tungsten alone would have a higher melting point, but it would be too reactive in the rain. Inside the board is polystyrene with huge air holes so that it floats, since W is very very heavy. Tungsten is also linked to cancer (but where's the evidence?) so don't try lava surfing at home, but since vampires are immortal, that's neither here nor there.

I've thought about this way too much.
