I've been wondering whether or not to just leave it as "I can't let you guys and the governor, finish off the mayor" or change it to "I can't let you guys finish off the mayor." It really does not matter for my current purposes (or even to the overall oneshot) that the governor was involved–it just might be useful to include if I decide to expand this further. But for now, might just be making things more complicated. Originally, he did not say anything here, but that seemed a bit strange…Either way, the writer in me cringes.

And, yes, this place and its people are slightly insane.
