The Engothening - Buying Goth

Seeing a goth without goth makeup is kinda bracing the first time.
Oh, right, so, about me and goths. I have basically no experience with goths, the goth subculture, or really know much about it. So much of what I will be putting out there is based on speculation, pop culture, and the contact I have with some friends who were goth (and one who is still sorta goth sometimes). So if I get it wrong, it is not a slight against you!
Frankly, all the goth people I've met have been unbelievably nice. If there are 10 people at a bus stop, I would ask the goth for directions, because any time I've talked to one, they have the most beautiful souls.
And lastly, I am pretty aware that there is a difference between goth and emo, but where the line lies, I have no idea. So if I use the two somewhat interchangably, I once again apologize.
