And here's page two! Fotis wakes up.

…but apparently he doesn't want to. :p

And what's this? New characters in a place that doesn't quite look like a hospital, does it?

Just remember, blue ink in the font means they are speaking Greek. The key for the languages is on your lower left.

Thank JNP for the snazzy coding, by the way!

He reminds me of Daredevil every time he gets into a really nasty fight

  • JustNoPoint at

He looks pretty cool with bloody eye bandages. Like he's some bad arse martial artist actually!

Ooh, using colours to represent different languages. That's a good way of doing it!

dueeast: Thank you! I am happy you like it. I think the nurse just isn't far enough into the loop to know what is at stake ;)

Lance Danger: Thank you so much! I do try.

  • dueeast at

Thank goodness he has a nurse who still believes in medical ethics (and common sense! I mean, LOOK at the guy!)

Very nice, strong start, both artistically (I love the linework, color and lighting effects on this page) and in the writing and dialogue. Powerful.

Poor kid =0 Art is looking GORGEOUS, btw!

dragonrider: That's quite right! And the particular lady is pretty well connected… we'll soon find out some aspects of said connections. But you are right, the nurse isn't too impressed.

Peipei: Sometimes war doesn't give breaks even to kids :(

Nicotine: aw, thanks! And yes, the nurse is kinda kind, isn't she?

  • dragonrider at

Ah yes the smoking in the hospital, when I was in Basic Training(Centuries ago) I was hospitalized for double pneumonia, not only did they have ashtrays in the Doctors Office, Hospital Mess but the Ward Day Room had a cigarette machine in it where cigarettes were sold at the same price the PX charges. Each pack had 3 pennies change in it because machines didn't take exact change.

I think our Nurse is a bit less than impressed with the importance of what the cigarette girl has as priorities. Actually if she was smoking then she must have had a good black market source, about the only things available were German and Italian and those were not open market items.

    Poor kid :(…Give him a break ;;.

Poor kid, but at least he's being watched over by a kind nurse. I was wondering what the language key was for! XD Thats pretty clever, actually. :D

DAJB: Ha ha! I was wondering who'd bring that up! At the time it wasn't registered that smoking was actually bad for your health. There were even ashtrays on the bedside tables of hospitals! (at least there were in Greece)

And the lady is a chain smoker, like some other character that will eventually make an appearance. (also, read on what I've written for Vickie, it's about you too ;) )

usedbooks: I think you sell yourself short. And that goes for DAJB too! Every person has at least one thing they'd valiantly protect, whether it is represented in an item or not. It is just a question of whether you find yourself in a position to NEED to protect it and be aware of it.

  • DAJB at

Let's all go and smoke around the patient's bed - that'll speed up his recovery! My, how times have changed! ;-)

Poor Fotis. Luckily, I don't think being valiant is in my nature!

  • usedbooks at

    Yikes.

If it was me, I'd opt to not wake up for a LONG time. But then again, I probably wouldn't have "valiantly protected" anything in the first place. Heh.
