I moved to New York state from Pittsburgh, where the Strumhaus global headquarters is located. So my collaboration on this project has been solely internet-based. One of us writes a script, sends it to the others for tweaking, and then it’s off to Scott for the artwork. Occasionally we’ll get a sneak preview of the art, but more often we don’t see it until the day of the post.

When I first moved to New York, I spent much of the 12 hour drive drafting the current set of scripts in my head. When I moved into my new apartment, it took a couple of days to get my computer hooked up, but the first thing I did was write the scripts down. That was two months ago, and now I’m finally seeing the finished product.

I’m continually impressed with Scott’s work. One of the nice things about this collaboration has been seeing how he interprets our words. Often, as in the past couple of strips, the pictures are very different from what I had in my head, but I invariably like his version better.
