I mentioned Monday that the writers of this webcomic have been collaborating by e-mail. This seems like as good a place as any to promote Google’s new document sharing application, Google Docs. It used to be called Writely, but was accidentally acquired by Google in the process of buying the rest of the internet. Anyway, it’s enormously helpful in situations like this. You write a document, save it in the Google aether rather than your hard drive, and share it with collaborators. They can edit and make changes, and more importantly, you can access your own work from anywhere, which is nice when I have a few minutes of spare time at work, and want to make changes to the script I started at home. Google’s going a little nuts with buying up the intertubes, but I, for one, welcome our new pigeon overlords.
