I thought it would be fine to have thoughts/mental activity handwriten.
The biggest problem is remembering who you're writing for and how it should be different. I can only write so many way comfortably. Which is why Testen's mental words look so much like John's. Normally when people have the same mental pattern they are the same person or closely related.
However, it is safe to say that John is not Tetsen, nor are they related.
