RE: Gehirn: On the very boring day that Grikk entered the comic, I had also been thinking about James Schmitz. I guess Grikk was inspired by a character from his "Witches of Karres". The character is a grik- (or grikk-, spelling isn't my strong point) dog.
I first read Witches of Karres ages ago. Speaking of which, it's about time I read it again…
