Stage 78: Boredom is an Ugly Word

I have this killer cold right now. Oi.

I think I cried so hard last week, I broke my immune system, and caught my supervisor's cold. Now I'm having a hard time breathing, and my nose is red and peeling.

(Siiiiiiiigh)

Anyway, I thought I should probably do a little explaining here. The XAZ universe works slightly differently than the regular Capcom Megaman universe.

Up to the events at the end of X8, the universe is pretty much the same. Command Mission was a side bit that happened when X and Zer0 were dispatched to a far off command post. (Thus explaining why Signas was no where to be found.) The events of the Z series, and further on, the ZX series, are future events yet to happen.

The EXE and Starforce series are actually TV shows, created by some gimicky loser who wanted to cash in on the Maverick Hunters success. However, due to some 'incidents' on the set, most of the cast of EXE actually believe the events of the show actually happened. (Lan, for example, actually believes he saved the world.) Bass was to blame for a lot of the incidents, on account of 'he got bored, and wanted to make it more interesting'. Thankfully, he wasn't pissed-off and bored, or that would have been disasterous.

In any case, Zer0 has a flaming hatred for the shows, and anything accociated with them. Axl thinks it might be because Zer0 was never asked to appear on the show, and when they DID show Zer0, it was a stand-in, AND an evil badguy, a double whammy to Zer0's pride. X thinks it might be because of how gimmicky the shows were. Either way, Zer0 takes every oppertunity to attack ex-cast members of both shows.

Many of the 'navis' from EXE were replicas of the old Robots from the origional Megaman's time, re-designed and re-programed, as well as being supplied sleek, titanium reinforced bodies, dubbed 'Copyroid' bodies, as they were based on the Reploid body designs.

The Maverick Hunters, in a time of peace, have very little to do at any given time, except put down the odd Maverick who might pop up out of hiding. As such, they have to find things to do to keep themselves from being both bored, and out of practice. As the Copyroids are no longer needed on the show, some are moved to branches of the Maverick Hunters to give support. (But are really just there because there was no where else to put them.)

That's the basic idea of the comic world. More intricate details will be explained later on. The basic idea is that Bass is not someone you want to be bored. THINGS GO BOOM.
