Today is the 21st anniversary of 911 and the 10th anniversary of Benghazi.

NEVER FORGET

Twenty one years ago today. Criminal terrorists attacked the United States.

Four commercial airliners were hijacked by al-Qaeda with explicit goal of causing mass casualties against innocent people.

American Airlines Flight 11 was flown into the North Tower of the World Trade Center in New York city at 8:46 am.

Seventeen minutes later at 9:03 am, the World Trade Center's South Tower was hit by United Airlines Flight 175.

American Airlines Flight 77 was hijacked over Ohio. At 9:37 am, it crashed into the west side of the Pentagon.

United Airlines Flight 93, was hijacked and crashed into a field in Pennsylvania at 10:03 am. The passengers denied the hijackers their intended target, determined to be either the White House or the U.S. Capitol.

2,977 fatalities, over 25,000 injuries, and substantial long-term health consequences.

LET US ALSO NOT FORGET

On September 11, 2012, ten years ago, members of Ansar al-Sharia attacked the American diplomatic compound in Benghazi resulting in the deaths of both United States Ambassador to Libya J. Christopher Stevens and U.S. Foreign Service Information Management Officer Sean Smith.

President Obama, Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, and others denied requests for additional security at the facility prior to the attack and never sent help despite military available assets in the Mediterranean .
