Slimredninja brought up a reference I figured SOMEONE would jump on: Brokeback. Especially with Fred.. being.. well.. Fred. And a little tribute the late great actor Heath Ledger. Plus, Nettika's first line sounded exactly like something I'd write for her, the little prissy bi-atch that she is.

Dantheman's entry was a classic quick-and-easy zinger, something you don't see enough of these days. Simple and effective. Plus, he was an early favorite as many mentioned. What a guy, that Dan. For more quippy classic comic-strippy goodness, swing by Dan the Man's,.. erm… Dan the Man (what is WITH the combo-user-name -and-comic-name's?)

Because I was a wuss and didn't choose a winner myself, BOTH of these contestants will get a cameo in the next Z&F. Even if it means I go completely insane trying to think it up! But the final winner, as voted by you duckers will bask in PWITM #8 glory for all time. No, that wasn't overly dramatic at all.
