Looks like this battle is heating up! What Enjoy says there in panel 2 is actually a reference to a version of Artificial Time, now defunct and lost to the internet, that Raocow did about four or five years ago, I believe. In it, a character has the ability to turn flocks of pigeons into bars of soap.

I suppose the rectangles made me think of gold instead.
