Don't Talk To Inanimate Objects!!

I'm really liking this fight, to be honest. Lots of humour, alongside lots of interesting action with a neat "puzzle-like" process of figuring your opponent's weaknesses and trying to use the terrain to your advantage. It's more than dynamic in just a purely visual sense, it's dynamic in a plot - or tactical - sense as well, which is really fun to write for (and I'm hoping for Raocow, to draw for as well).

I have to admit that, at the beginning of this project, I never would have dreamed that we would end up working in actual intelligible fight scenes. Raocow's art style and working process is very improvisational and ad hoc, but we ended up gravitating towards rather detailed planning anyway – it seems that we just work better when we have an idea of what the characters are going to do.

This isn't to say that Raocow's taking orders from me with detailed description of what goes on in each panel, but rather that it's just not possible to pull off the kind of scene we planned for Arrive and Squish without a little bit of back and forth between the writer and the artist; Raocow has admitted to me that he ordinarily would not have thought of the trick that Squish pulls off in this page if it wasn't for my suggestion.

The product overall, I think, is a whole lot better than how we were working at the beginning of ATXS.
