I wanted more bricks in this comic, but they just didn't help Cthulhu out. They tended to make him not look menacing or imposing… or gigantic.

Edit: I've been noticing a lot of comics at Drunk Duck that have a hard time making panels that take place outside at night or in a dark room look both dark and readable simultaneously, so I made this tutorial.
