#070 Batman Vs. Sea Shepards

I don't know if any of you watch Whale Wars on Animal Planet, but if you did, and you saw this season's opener last week, you'll know that Paul Watson commissioned the services of a boat that looked like the Bat Boat.

The captain of that boat, Pete Bethune, is currently undergoing trial in a Japanese kangaroo court for "interfering with business" resulting in the role he took in Paul Watson's Sea Shepards. I don't understand how the Japanese can hold him in their country for an incident that occurred in international waters… but prosecutors are demanding he serve at least two years in prison.

While I think Capt. Watson and his crew are a bunch of loopy rogues (especially his former first mate, who is now the first mate on Watson's second ship), I think their cause is a just one.
