I'm pretty sure Kemo Sabe is a phrase solely made up for the Lone Ranger, though the creator of said ranger claimed he got the phrase from the name of an overnight kids camp in northern Michigan. (My home state.) But then, this whole strip is poking fun at stereotypes, so it's all good.

As for the statement yesterday about the frequent deaths here… you kids seem to like the dark humor, and I am just trying to live up to my tag line. I might add that they've been around since #002 so it's not like there's no precedent.
