i got some new colors… permanent rose and dioxazine violet. they are quite fancy (how'd i live without them?)

jenshin : i'd have to agree, second to last panel was the only one that seemed to come out right. probably khat just doesn't want to waste all of his great lines on a creature that can't understand em, heh.

fyrsiel : indeed, i don't go back over the pages with my pencil often enough. i'll give it a go.
as for sound effects, i'm going to hold out for as long as i possibly can… something about them…

iagojester : i -wish- i had a sword like that hanging on my wall… although it'd probably be a hazard to the health of tables and lamps and ceiling fans as i tried swinging it about in the house. so… contrast, i usually bump the contrast up a bit in photoshop, but i'm going to have to check these pages out on a different computer screen, see what's changing.

wazaga : lol, grace and easiness are an illusion of the editing process! if you could see the pencil erases…

mina lunga : heh, i wonder what a khat victory dance would look like…

maulgryve : evil things don't have hearts. hehe.

ozoneocean : thanks. this is one of the first times i really drew out the coreography for the fight scene from start to finish before starting the pages. hopefully it'll pay off.

inidas : glad you liked that! he's meant to be kicking the blade up with his knee in the fifth panel, but i realized he probably would have used the other knee for it to work like that. khat is probably pretty ambidextrous (least with weapons) i think i made him out to be left-handed way back when, but that's a detail i forget about a lot. looking back through the pages, khat does seem to favor the left hand in 70% or so of his sword weilding pics. it is a heavy sword though, heh.

lylithe : thanks for reading. calmly stalling, yep, its like a dayjob to khat. hehe.

nekko : ah! and i need to catch up on yours! thank you!

ejb : many thanks, i was a bit concerned about the stiffness of the page.

thanks for reading
