hmm… so i'm being bad about answering comments (well, as bad as i've been at leaving them lately… and updating for that matter) but… a few to keep people less confused.
khat's name isn't really 'khat'… that's just what we (reading and writer alike) have been callin him for the lack of an actual name… he doesn't have one. Khat-ahku-ka is just what he can answer to (it describes what he is, not who he is, like calling a pet by its species name (cat, dog) instead of by its name (fluffy, fido)) complicated a bit, i know, but i like it that way. as for the 'riddle-d' part, something of a joke (as nova says), the real life bit behind it being, that was the name of my first pokemon (it was a bulbasaur by the way) and i always thought it'd be a neat name for a character. but… its just a joke. i'm gonna keep refering to him as khat till i give him a real name… or nova figures out something to call him. (incendently, nova doesn't call him 'khat' because it would be pronounced 'ka' to her mind, and besides not rolling off the tognue so well, the definition would make it a bit impersonal.) we'll see.
as for the gribble/rotterKin. those are just names for the little men/wolf hybrids.
and remember, that was to help you be -less- confused! so… yeah!
edit: oh yeah, personal complaint… i should've broke the speech up to make sure the pauses were read (*advertisement voice* more speech bubbles. when a comma just isn't enough.) but i didn't realize that nearly quick enough, and i'm not changing it less it really starts to drive me crazy
