I SO wanted to do the 24-hour thing this year…

…but the nearest one is 6 hours away, and I only just found out about their recent openings. I only wish there was enough interest in holding an event in South Dakota, or I would have organized it myself.

I'll be doing this, but will be doing so at home, since there are no places where I live that are holding this as an event.

So, anyone who's interested, I'll be on Skype all day, from 9am EST on saturday till 9am EST on sunday. My username is sam_charette. Feel free to come on and chat. If you want, do it from home and be on Skype at the same time as me, and we can have an internet location :)

Yes, I'll be doing the 24HC in Holland tomorrow. I'll translate and post it over here when it's finished :D

Good luck to all the other idiots that will be drawing tomorrow!

I did one with a friend at his house once. By the 12 hour mark we were so stoned that we couldnt form proper words. It was just like mmmurblergh… The fact that we started at 7pm and I was up since 10 am didn't help. We started walking funny at about hour 15.

It's a lot of fun though, if you've got the time

18 hours in and I wish I was dead.

No places in Colorado this year so I'm hosting my own and got 5 friends to partcipate with me. None of them have ever drawn a comic before and I am amazed by the quality of their work. More people need to do this. It's a great motivational and learning tool.

Er, if anyone wants to he can look at it here, but that's the Dutch version. I'm having a little trouble with the translation since it contains a few Dutch-jokes that just don't work in English.

But the experience was great. It went pretty well, especially the last few hours (not as I expected) Only at the beginning of the evening it was getting kind of hard to stay focussed and I simply didn't like what I was making. I was all like "I don't wanna finish this crap! What am I staying awake for??" but at the end I'm kind of proud at my weird lil' creation. Not that great drawings, but a very wacky story-line.

When it's translated I will. It's also on my personal website, but I don't know how to link to it, 'cause the main-page changes whenever there's a new comic.
