So, I've wanted to do this for a while, but wasn't sure how it would be recieved.

I would like to play D&D with some DD'ers. In fact, I would really just like to play it period.

However, I'll need some help. Someone with experience with this thing, preferably someone who knows how to DM. Also, preferably a Rules Nazi, so that they'll actually know what's going on.

So, anyone? I can't do this without help.

Also, whoever ends up being DM will do dice rolls, and tell us the results. That way we can avoid cheating.

Whoa, this thread was hella dead.

Anyway, 3rd probably. I usually like the newest thing.

Okay It'll take me a few weeks to set up a good campaign for this forum…you prepared to wait that long?

The e c l thing is called "effective character level. Basically, it's the character's level. If you are a character that is with a level adjustment +1 and you are a lvl 5 fighter means your effective character level is 6. This must not be confused with the class level. However, since you have takne a level adjustment race (which means that race is a lot better than your average race, like elves and uh, humans) you have to take one level a ssuch, which means, if the elf wizard is a level 6 wizard, you're merely a lvl 5 fighter! But you are a lot better than the elf, in a way. But by being a race that is better than most, usually makes it rather boring for the other players, and therefore many DMs usually, ban level adjustment races above +1. Or they just ban every race that has a level adjustment. And I somehow think I went a bit overboard explaining "effective character level"…

It's just a few have asked what e c l means.

But I would like to join this thing, if we use 3.5, since I only have books for that.
