Why you say? Because most of the contenet(sp?) of eBaums world is stold from another webpage without permission, and Eric Bauman, the owner of the site is earning money for that!

i read somewhere that this flash is actually a big con to get people to go to ebaumsworld. Think aobut how long that link to ebaums world was on the falsh.
eric baum found some people and told them to make a commercial saying ebaums world sucks. I mean that's genius. Normal commercials don't work anymore, no one goes to a site because they said it was bad. if its contraversial your gonna go to the site and see whats its all about.

Think aobut how long that link to ebaums world was on the falsh.That's pure bullshit, because the guy who made the flash (Lemon Demon) has been angry at Eric since he posted flash of his friends (lowtax from somethingaweful and Weebl) and Eric also posted The ultimate Showdown without permission of LD.

increasing contraversy increases the popularity of both ebaum and the people who did the flash. its online drama. just like how there's all this drama between angelina and brad pitt. and the movie "mr and mrs smith" made more money than they predicted. its all about hype. well, you just bought the hype by sticking that banner in your signiture.

I've followed this whole thing for a while. The whole time managing to actually avoid going to ebaums (and only visiting ebaumsworldsucks once or twice). I'm not sure why you think anybody is conning anybody but I'll state it in simple terms. You are wrong.
it is the internet, and the truth or lies are made out of 1's and 0's. reality in the net is almost subjective. it might not be a con or it could be, it's hard to really know.
but it's also hard to argue against the fact that both ebaum and the artists are getting a lot of exposure around this contraversy. the fact that we are talking about it, and the fact that the flash movie was on top of newgrounds proves it.
When my flashes were on the frontpage of newgrounds i know that my site hits went to 300+ a day. and my movies never made it to the top lists, but it gave my site a lot of exposure. I bet you the ammount of hits and exposure would be around +1k a day for them.
I guess what im trying to get across is that, If they weren't commission by ebaum, their main objective might have been for exposure for themselves and then telling the truth. but their motive was to get exposure. Playing the part of the hero vs the giant is appealing to a lot of people.
i actually dont really care about the whole ebaum issue. but i do like to observe the sideffects of things. I have an interest on looking at wakes of events and the psychosocial effect it has on people. I'm not here to argue if ebaum is right or wrong, I just like to point out how people are flowing around it.
No, I've been well aware of the shady business practices of Ebaum, long it was pointed out by AOTS and even before someone made a website about it. What's funny about the AOTS clip is that it's a classic moment of someone getting caught with their pants down.
In fact, they should put that on Ebaum's World. It's at least as funny as, if not funnier than, their regular content.
But thats original content. Ebaumsworld has no original content.
