I'm someone who decided to create an account over here despite my handicap that I can't draw to save my life. What I do have is stories, LOTS OF STORIES so if anyone out there has a talented hand but no tale to write then it would be an excellent idea to team up.
What am I offering you ask…..
well I'm not exactly looking to hire anyone and give him/her a cozy desk job and a salary if thats what you're looking for. No, all I am thinking about at the moment is an outlet to express through. For example I'm currently attempting to write a play for children about Christmas and santaclauses and stuff and crossing fingers that someone in my community will notice. However if we would end up with a gem and people start donating money for some reason then it would only be fair that the proceeds would split between us.
Now if anyone around here wants to chat then he is more then willing to. Maybe I'll get a friend out of it, maybe a nemesis. I'm currently hoping for the former though and who knows. Maybe a kindred spirit is out there that I can team up with and we can form a story so awesome that people all over the world will flock to see it. And then they'll donate money and we can get rich and famous, maybe take over a small country in the process and somewhere along the way we'll ask ourselves: how the hell did we manage to get a country out of this?

I dare you to say that out loud and not screw it up. I'm from Iceland by the way. I have similar hobbies as any other crazy person who dares to venture through the internet and live to tell the tale. Some might even call me a nerd even though I have a body of a jock. No I'm not saying I'm dashing or anything, just big. I could hold my ground on a football field whether we're talking about the American version or the version that everyone else uses and you yanks call that adorable name, soccer. Despite that outburst I'm not really into sports although I can hang around and watch a game with friends and I'm known to check out the super bowl. Over my life I've watched an awful lot of movies and shows and also read so many books that I've turned into that annoying type that can figure out the plot in the first five minutes. To be honest, you wouldn't newer ever want to be anywhere near me in a cinema… Ohh…. I get it. That villain is actually the heroes father and his best friend is about to betray him.
Blagh… I've found myself babbling again which is never a good sign. Anyways feel free to drop me a line and who knows. Maybe it could be the start of a beautiful friendship.
And by the way. That's not me in that photo of the guy holding the for sale sign. I just thought that was an awesome photo. I can only hope it won't result in a law suit.

Well, I can tell from your introduction that I would just love to be spellbound by your "stories." Welcome to Drunk Duck, I really hope you are able to find yourself a partner in webcomickin' crime…I'm also more the writer type and am just lucky enough to be "hooked up" with an artist, so works out well for me.
I've never know anyone from Iceland, is it true there is a disappointing lack of "ice?" I'm from Texas, that's in the U.S. where "yank" has a very different interpretation; but, I won't hold that 'gainst 'ya. I was really into soccer when I was younger though, an all girl's team called, The Dixie Darlins…(Gets 'yer goat, don't it?) Now, I write all day…I used to teach, didn't agree with me. Hopelessly addicted to all forms of media, I feel your "outguessing" everything you ingest pains. (I've worked in five bookstores and a couple of my degrees are in lit. So, also relate to the love of tha' books!) Welcome again…I'm sure we'll run into each other in the forums and such.

I'm thinking about starting a study to become an English teacher, hence the interest.
I taught: Second grade - all inclusive, Fourth Grade - all inclusive, Seventh/Eighth Grade: English/Reading/History/Science, 11/12 Grade: English, Sophmore-Senior University: Shakespeare, Western Lit, and a honors Foreign Films course. (Also, private tutoring and curriculum devlopment, some diagnostician work and a couple other courses.) I hate teaching. It sucked ten years of my life that I am never going to get back. There is nothing postive I can say and I wouldn't wish the profession on my worst enemy.
But, yeah…teaching English is fun as hell.
