Every year Willamette Week organizes an index of local non-profits and what they do and collects donations for them, this index is called the Give Guide. You can check it out here: http://giveguide.oaktree.com/Welcome.aspx I know that most of you aren't from Portland Oregon so I don't know how keen y'all would be on donating to these organizations. Maybe you could donate to some non-profit in your area? Y'know, spirit of the holidays and all.
Incidentally, the non-profit that I work at is also in the Give Guide. The Independent Publishing Resource Center, or IPRC. Check them out too, http://www.iprc.org
