Okay, I'm really pissed off now. I was just called by a presidential campaign group to ask for funding and I promptly asked why. They said that it's only four days until the report for the second quarterly earnings for the campaign funding contribution something comes out.

I then asked why I should care. The person on the phone then said that their opponents and the press hold it in high importance and I was like "Why? Why should this country care about how much money is gathered rather than the quality of the people running?!"

Grgh, it made me mad! It's as if these people are trying to claim that whoever is richest would make the best president! Gah! I thought we fought WARS so that things wouldn't be like that, didn't we?! What is wrong with this country's politics and why do so few people seem to care?!

I didn't give them any money. I told the woman on the phone "If money was all that mattered, I'd be the worst president this country has ever seen."

Again, Gaaaaah!!

Yeah……yeah….

I wish I could say something insightful; but, everytime I start discussing the state of politics in America, I start shaking and chain smoking. So, I'll just say yeah….yeah.

(Hell no you can't have a dollar on my tax refund!)

As a wise man once said:

"It's times like these I'm glad I'm Canadian"

Although, that's not to say we don't have our own problems. Considering we have a robot for a Prime Minister.

And I don't mean a super bad-ass, Nazi-killing kind of robot either.

Any time I start feeling like the whole world is insane and all humanity (or the US) is headed into the netherworld, I just watch the Daily Show and Colbert Report and I realize that there is sanity in America.. God bless those men for restoring faith in the American people – albeit not in our leaders.

IO want to respond to this statement with a witty quote from Stephen Colbert, but I can't for the life of me think of any, so I'll just say that those two shows are totally awesome.

Actually, anarchy technically can never exist. If people didn't have a government then we'd be stuck with people who'd try to control you. Plus stealing, killing, and other forms of crime would be at an all time high. I'd rather have at least some form of government.

Politics still suck though.

The whole thing is rather stupid. I don't know why the media always covers the race of the election rather than the positions, arguments and political history of the candidates. At best, they are being lazy, at worst, they are actively trying to ruin the chances of a reformer getting a nomination (Howard Dean, anyone?)
