To help dispel the sudden popularity of Q&A threads I decided to start one as well.
Mostly because I want to destroy the Genre. Also because I'm secretly evil.
(after all I DO work in customer support)

Well as you guessed there are many to choose from…
oh I know!

I was working for a cable company at the time (not comcast) doing overtime on thanksgiving. So our genius calls in and I'm the one that answered.
I gave the standardized greeting and the first words out of his mouth are:

"oh wow, somebody is actually there! I'm surprised that you guys are staffed on a holiday!"
(no biggie right? ) So I proceed to tell him yes of course we have to keep the place staffed in case somebody calls needing help on turkey day. Lots of TV specials after all. His response? Completely earnest and no sarcastic inflection.
"wow you have people calling you today?"

(If you don't get it you don't deserve to. Read it again.)
