since he summed up my sentiments so well

Thank god that's over. Lets get this started:

Rules and Conditions.

Veteran players only.
The GM needs to posses a fair understanding on how the game runs. Therefore we require that the applicant has played the game at least twice

No encore performance.
As the current GM, it is up to me to pass the title to someone new. Once you're done running a game, you will also be expected to give someone else a chance. Don't start a new game. Instead you will run an election like this one where we pick a new GM. Also, you can't be a candidate yourself. This will ensure that we get new blood into the game and that the rules are regularly picked at from a different perspective. GMs from older games are free to run again and are encouraged to do so. Who knows? If they were good enough, people will flock to play their game again.

Explain your goal.
What do you plan to do as the new GM? Are you going to run a standard Mafia game? If so, will you change the rules/roles and/or introduce new ones? Are you perhaps gonna play a game with a different theme? Reverse Mafia perhaps or maybe zombie apocalypse? If so explain the new structure of the game. Changing the formula is OK. It happens in almost every game. Just be careful not to introduce a change so radical that it could scare people away from voting you. You can discuss rule changes and different themes here to see if people would like it.

Pick a schedule and stick with it It is important that the GM is punctual in maintaining the game. Do you plan to post narrations every 24 hours at a specific time? If so, make sure that you'll be here to on time to do so. If something comes up that would force you to be early or late, post a warning to let people know with an explanation. It's encouraged that you run the game using GMT timezone schedule since the players hail from all over the world, spanning different time zones and a GMT conversion table is the easiest one for everyone to access. If you plan on using a different time zone schedule like an American one, Make sure you advertise it well and post an appropriate conversion table for everyone to access.
An example of a GMT conversion table:Gertrude veribles.

"Here's how it works. Figure out where in the world you live and locate that place on the map. Follow the line you're living in down to the bottom of the map and locate a number down there. Use that number to change the time that the GM gives (as long as he's using GMT, that is). For example, if the GM says that something will happen at 6 pm and your living in a -5 zone, it means that it will happen at 1 pm, your time. If you live in a +5 zone, it means that it will happen at 11pm."

Also for those living in America, here's a handy time table to show you at what time you can expect the narrations.

Show us your stuff The GM is expected to write narrations to explain what's going on throughout the game. A good writer can make the game come alive and encourage players to come back to read what's going on. Show us your stuff and create a scenario where YOU(the applicant) kill ME (the election holder). In this narration it is important that you do not directly tell us that it was you who committed the crime but instead leave a clue that's based on your name, avatar, signature, profile, comic(if you have any), something that can link you to the crime. Try making a link to you that can be figured out with some research, while at the same time is not blatantly obvious. You can throw in red herrings but please refrain from directly connecting the herrings to innocents. Make them instead vague things that could point at many people. Finally, be creative, funny, dramatic, brutal, serious, descriptive, vague, long winded or short and to the point. Pick the style you feel comfortable with and would like to use. Impress us with what you can do. At the end of the narration post an explanation that shows people how the clues link to you so that we can understand your logic.

I'll be posting the applicants sample narrations in the second post for people to quickly read through. Once we have enough applications I will announce when it's time to vote for your favorite GM. Applicants do not need to vote since it's given that they'll be voting for themselves. Although if they wish to vote for someone else, they can do so.

narrations

1337: 1

Salsa knew his days were numbered. Or more precisely, limited to at most the next two hours, but at least he had hopes that he could make it. He knew his chances were low but still he kept running.
With every pant he could hear them getting closer, the yelling, obnoxious, and fear inducing in his ear. Each shout made the hairs on his back stand up even more.
And then came an exceptionally loud yell, only about ten, twenty feet away, somewhere behind a tree. Salsa stopped dead in his tracks. He dropped to the ground and tried to remain silent.
But no matter how hard he tried to be silent, he could not calm his breathing. He could hear them lurking around in the woods nearby him, searching high and low with flashlights, but not finding him. He finally settled himself down when he heard the snap of a twig behind him and found the light of a torch right on him.
Salsa looked up at the man who had found him, seeing an obscured face with a fedora atop its head. It was the leader of them all. Salsa started to cry.
“Why so sad?” the Godfather said.
“Please, please, just don’t kill me.” Upon this the Godfather cocked his gun.
“A life’s a life,” he said to salsa, placing the barrel against the side of his head. “And business is business. Sorry pal.”
The light reflected off Salsa onto the face of the Godfather but Salsa had closed his eyes tight. He didn’t see the large grin on the man’s face.

Anthony Mercer: 5
Narration!
Salsa had gotten bored of the game, and decided to wander around the house. He came across the birthday boy's parents' bedroom, and thought he might as well get something for himself out of this crappy party - he grabbed the mother's purse and rooted around inside it, looking for cash. He'd just found her cellphone when he heard a noise, and looked around, seeing a crazy-looking man with a knife!

"Didn't you know it's rude to look through other people's possessions? Were you never educated?" said the man, who didn't give Salsa a chance to answer before plunging the knife into his chest.
Salsa the Normal Kid is dead!
BffSatan: 2
Salsa took the lift down to the garage, he'd had a stressfully day and was looking forward to relaxing at home. He opened his car door and hopped inside, he turned his keys in the ignition but when he did the car just spluttered and gasped. "Damn it," said salsa.
A shadowy figure walked up behind the car, "looks like your battery's flat mate," said the figure, "here, I'll help you out."
"Thanks," said salsa as the person attached two jumper leads to their car.
But instead of attaching the other ends to Salsa's car they attached them to his chest.
Salsa screamed, "Who are you?!?! Why are you doing this?!?" as electricity raced through his body.
But the figure had nothing to say about themself.
Salsa's body was left smoking on the hood of his car with an expression of horror tattooed onto his face.
Salsa has been fried
Same: 2
Salsa had been moving in on a cluster of enemies. He watched from the distance.
They didnt move. They must not have noticed him. He readied his grenade. Pin pulled, arm swung back. He was about to throw when he noticed something glisten from the corner of his eye.
Same had his rifle aimed at salsa but it wasnt for his head. Same fired. The bullet tore through his elbow as his arm was fully stretched behind his back. The grenade fell from his hand as his arm hit the floor.
Salsa dropped to the ground screaming in agony as same ducked behind a close boulder.
Covering the wound he managed to push himself up. With the pain he forgot about the pinless grenade lying just a few feet away.
Salsa's body was blown 3 squares away
In different directions.
I'm looking forward to the next game!
Whatever the theme might be! I'm open for a lot of things! =D

For once, I'm going to run. My game would only be slightly tweaked from the standard game rule-wise, so hopefully people will like it and understand it. I'll put it here in a few minutes.

META-MAFIA

Setup:
At a teenager's birthday party, full of sweets bought with parents' credit cards and alcohol bought with fake IDs, twenty or so kids decide to play that classic party game, Mafia. But they immerse themselves in the game a bit too much…
Soon, bodies begin to be found around the house, and the players realize that this has gone further than a game. The mafia are killing the other players, and the only way to fight back… is to play the game for real.

Roles:

ELECTED (these are chosen on Day 1, when the confusion caused by the killings means that no-one can remember who voted for whom originally)

Mayor
The Mayor is elected at the start of the game and has numerous abilities:
Insta-lynch: The Mayor has the option of insta-lynching one player as soon as he's elected. Whoever the Mayor picks gets lynched. (Be forewarned if you plan to use this ability that no clues have been given that could help point you at a criminal at that time.)
Seal of the Mayor: Increased vote count of 2 during lynching.
Desperate times, desperate measures: The Mayor can declare 2 double lynches anytime during the game. When double lynches are in effect, each player gets two votes. (I must be notified early in the day cycle, or near the end of the night cycle, for this to take effect, so that people know they have two votes.)
Did you ever know that you're my hero: Both Mayor and Pardoner cannot be killed during the night while the bodyguard(s) remain alive. The mayor will be informed of the identity of the bodyguards.

Pardoner
As a check and balance to the Mayor, the pardoner is the runner-up to the Mayor. The pardoner has the ability to cancel two lynches throughout the game. Pardoning both suspects during a double lynch will use up both powers but it's also possible to pardon one suspect while lynching the other. The pardoner will have to notify me within one hour of lynch vote results before the lynch is actually posted. He is unable to pardon on the insta-lynch. The pardoner will also receive protection from the bodyguards but will not be informed of their identities.

GOOD

Pro-town - win condition: Eliminate all Bad characters from the game. By killing them.

Bodyguard
Random Normal Kids will receive the role of bodyguard once the mayor has been elected. The bodyguards and the mayor will be informed of their identities. As long as the bodyguards are alive, the Mayor and the Pardoner cannot be killed via night hits. A poisoned drink sent to a protected person will also be intercepted.

The Generous Kid (Paramedic)
Having brought drinks and sweets for all, this kid has decided to help the injured.
Refreshing snack: This power can be used every night. Choose one player - that player cannot die unless the number of people attacking him outnumbers the number of people watching him plus his night lives. The narrative will state that someone was attacked but saved and the narration will include a clue pointing out the identity of the attacker. It does not matter if he chooses to watch someone before or after he is attacked; he will protect that person regardless. The Generous Kid will also intercept poisoned drinks sent to a townie during the night he is under watch.

The Prepared Kid (Vigilante)
This kid brought a knife and a gun… you know, just in case anything happened. Which it did.

Not-Really-A-Teenager (Veteran)
Being a bit older than he looks, this guy can see any attack coming. The Not-Really-A-Teenager gets two lives, meaning two hits in one night must be made on him before he dies. A veteran can survive a poisoned drink if he still has both night lives but it will count as a hit attempt.

The Smart Kid (Detective)
The Smart Kid can use his powers of reasoning to work certain things out. He can use one power each day, and one each night. His powers are:
And you are?: Pick one player. You'll find out whether they are Good or Bad, although a Bad character with the ability to hide their identity will appear Good. (NOTE: this power can only be used twice in the game.)
Whodunit?: The Smart Kid can get a yes/no answer on whether a specific player committed a specific crime.
The election was rigged!: You can choose one person who was voted for in either the mayoral vote or a lynch vote. This power will tell you how many Bad players voted for that person. Anyone who can hide their Bad identity appears as Good for the purpose of this power. (NOTE: this power can only be used once in the game.)

The Spotty Kid (Paranoid)
Always picked on for his looks, this kid has learned to always be on the lookout for bullies. The Spotty Kid will kill whoever was the first person to target him in any way during the night, whether it be an attack or the Generous Kid trying to help him. He is unable to NOT kill, but will only kill one person a night, meaning a second kill attempt would be successful. (Note that, unlike in other mafia games, the Spotty Kid knows his identity.)

Normal Kid (Townie)
The other kids are only vaguely aware of your existence. Nevertheless, like everyone else, you can vote in lynches and help solve clues. After the election, two Normal Kids will become Bodyguards (see above).

BAD

Mafia - win condition: Eliminate all non-Mafia characters from the game. By killing them!
Mafia members are told who all the mafia members are.

Godfather
Randomly picked as Godfather at the start of the Mafia game, this kid got way too far into his role, ordering real murders. He has powers to help him with this:
Stuffed animal head: Cruelly decapitating someone's toy just to scare someone, this role, useable once a night, makes the target hide under a bed for the next day and night cycle - the player cannot be killed, but cannot use their powers, or try to solve clues (all their posts must be strictly unrelated to clue-solving).
Call in a favor: The Godfather can, once per game, cancel a lynch. If he uses that ability during a double lynch, both lynches are canceled.
Behind the curtains: The Godfather doesn't dirty his hands since he has his goons to carry out his orders. The godfather will appear as a pro-townie to the detective. He's also considered to be protected if he's attacked during the night.
Now it's personal: The godfather has decided to take actions into his own hands. By brandishing his pistol the leader has taken to the streets. He gains the ability to kill once per night but loses all benefits he received from his "Behind the curtains" power. Unlike his fellow mafia members, he can kill mafia characters. If the godfather is the only mafia member left, this power is automatically activated.

Poisoner (Mad Hatter)
Each night, the Poisoner is able to give someone (but not a fellow mafia member) a poisoned drink, or make someone drink the poison they've already been given. He can't do both during the same night. The Poisoner can at most keep two undrunk poisons in circulation but is free to give out more once they've been drunk. Every time poison is drunk, a clue is given about his identity. Should the poisoner be killed either through a lynch or a night hit, all poison in circulation will be drunk, killing his targets. If a target of his somehow dies by other means, the poison has no effect. Drinks can be intercepted by the Generous Kid, giving a clue to the identity of the Poisoner as well.

Mafioso
Each night, a Mafioso can kill one other (non-mafia) player.

Gatecrashers - win condition: Eliminate all non-Gatecrasher characters from the game. BY KILLING THEM!!!
The gatecrashers know each other's identity.

Gatecrasher
The gatecrashers only came here to cause trouble - but when murders started happening, their natural instinct was to join in. Each gatecrasher can kill once per night.

The game follows the traditional day/night cycle system, with lynches taking place during the day. If a lynch vote is tied, the first of the tied players to reach that amount is lynched. The mayoral vote works on the same system.
Clues will be from players' profiles, avatars, and the names, thumbnails, and first five pages of comics they write or assist.
If player A wants to kill player B and vice-versa, the action that was sent in first wins.
Actions must be sent in by 7PM GMT, with the narration up by 8PM GMT. Sorry if this is inconvenient. (Also, depending on when the game starts, one cycle may have to span two real days due to my uncle's upcoming funeral.)

MAFIA XLVI: Corporate Espionage

SETUP:
For some reason Mafia Co always seems to be one step ahead of their rival company Townston Industries, and for some reason the last two CEO’s, Archibald Cunningthroat Senior and Junior, have both wound up with knives in their faces. Numbers aren’t adding up, money is going missing, something is wrong. Mafia Co have implanted corporate spies into Townston Industries to gather sensitive information, also murder people.
Townston Industries is fighting back. It’s time to work out who’s behind this and fire the people responsible (often literally).

ROLES:
Elected roles:
CEO:

After The untimely demise of Archibald Cunningthroat Senior and Junior, you have taken control of the company. Hoorah!
Decision maker: You get an extra vote at fireings.
Show them who’s boss: During the first day you can instantly murder one employee. Just to prove that you’re serious about business.
Double sacking: Fire two people at once. You can do this twice.
Protected at all times: No one can hurt you if your personal assistants are still alive.

Vice chairman:
The people voted and they chose someone else over you as the next CEO. I dunno, maybe people just don’t like you?
Reach for the extinguisher: You can save anyone from being fired, but you can only use this skill twice.

PA:
Your job is to fetch the CEO coffee, keep them up to date on the stock market, and occasionally take a bullet for them.

Townston Industries:
Head of human resources:
You handle employment. More specifically, going around to employees houses at night and murdering them if you think they’re up to no good.
Stabby stabby: you get once kill per night.

Intern: (2)
You’re new, young, and willing to do anything to get ahead. People tend to abuse this. Lately it’s meant hanging around higher-ups and acting as their personal body guard. Oh well, at least this is better than the butt sex.
I’ve got you covered: Protect one person once per night.

Head of accounting:
You’re a quiet person, actually, most people just think you’re weird. Screw them, they don’t appreciate you, they don’t realise that you’re a unique an interesting person. They also don’t realise you have the records of pretty much everything that’s ever gone on in the company.
Do the math: Look at all those number, analyse the stock market, punch a few digits into your casio, and presto; you can find out if a specific player was behind a specific action. (E.g. Did ___ kill ___ last night?)
Election detection: Work out how many mafia co employees voted for a certain candidate in a vote. (Does not work for the election on day one).
Calculate a person’s probability of being a dick: Work out a specific persons allegiance.
(You can use one ability per night)

Head of security:
“HA! You thought you could get the drop on me!” Is what you say as you tackle any would-be-assassins to the ground who come after you at night as you tase them to death. Unfortunately, your taser only has one charge so if you get attacked twice in one night then you’re toast.
You’re a little off in the head from fighting in Vietnam and tend to over react to some things. I.E. Interns coming to protect you.

Suit:
Just wear this suit and look pretty. If no one’s talking to you then shut up, if someone says something to you then babble on a bit about corporate synergy. Maybe you’ll get that promotion someday, but probably not.

Mafia Co:

The guy who climbs around in the air vents:

You crawl around whispering commands to the various Mafia Co sleuths, occasionally you come down to vote or drink from the water cooler, but no one notices that you’re not actually employed at the company because you blend in with everyone else in black suits. (Also, it’s not hard when you’re so plain looking).
Poison dart: You stick your little straw out of the vent and fire a small non-lethal dart at someone’s neck, knocking them out for a day. (can only be used once)
Mess around with stuff: You can frame someone else for a crime committed by one of your spies. (Can only be used once, send me a PM on the same night that the murder happens)
Whisper: Once per cycle you can pass a message onto any other player (through the GM).
I don’t know why no one’s looked up here, honestly: The head of accounting can’t tell you apart from an ordinary suit.
Pull the fire alarm: Interrupt someone’s dismissal. (You can use this only once)
Uhhh, don’t look up there: As long as one team member is alive you are invincible.
Alright, I’m coming down now: When there is no one else on your team you can start killing oncer per night. But you lose all other powers.

Janitor:
No one expects old janitor, heh heh.
Plant a bomb: Put a bomb in someone’s briefcase while they’re on the john. You can only have two bombs planted at once because big numbers confuse you.
Detonate a bomb: Boom. Blow up one bomb.
Oh, before I go: If you get killed then all active bombs will explode.

Brute:
You always stand out in meeting. Mostly because of your massive size. Seriously, do you do steroids or something? It doesn’t even look good, just weird.
Don’t tase me bro: The head of security has nothing on you. Pop his skull open.
Mama, I just killed a man: Kill once per night.

Spy:
Blend in, gather intel, kill people. You can kill once per night.

Other:

The divorcee alcoholic:

You’ve lost your wife. She was cheating on you. She took the house, the car, the kids. Oh, and you hate this job. You REALLY hate this job. You hate this job so much you could just kill somebody.
Shoot: You can kill someone once per night.

Fffffffff-

No one's gonna vote for me…

Well anyway, I'm running a classic game, based of Product Placemetn's version of the rules. They're the ones I feel are most fair.

The tile is subject to change, of course. ALthough I think it's rather swell.

I might rewrite the narration (again).

And the time might go back or forward an hour.

But as for anything else, this is my second time running in one and a half years. ._.

MAFIA XLVI – The Game of Gaming With
Gamely Gamingness Because We (I am the
1337 Master is Awesome) Game A Lot…Game

Salsa knew his days were numbered. Or more precisely, limited to at most the next two hours, but at least he had hopes that he could make it. He knew his chances were low but still he kept running.
With every pant he could hear them getting closer, the yelling, obnoxious, and fear inducing in his ear. Each shout made the hairs on his back stand up even more.

But no matter how hard he tried to be silent, he could not calm his breathing. He could hear them lurking around in the woods nearby him, searching high and low with flashlights, but not finding him. The light reflected off Salsa onto the face of the Godfather but Salsa had closed his eyes tight. He didn’t see the large grin on the man’s face.
Salsa the Townie is Dead
Clues:
Numbered – 1337
Obnoxious – not exactly said in profile but somewhat established in it
Why so Sad - parody of “why so serious” which is a basis off my title
Large grin – just look at my avatar

Red Herrings:
Tree - to lead towards someone with an earthy comic.
Fedora – a hated avatar
Obscured face – another avatar
Torch instead of flashlight – british stereotype I suppose…

This game will use standard rules, using Product Placement’s interpretations on them.

The game takes turns, alternating between day cycles and nights. Each cycle takes 24 hours and will end when the GM posts his narration. Each narration is scheduled to be released around 6 PM GMT or 1 PM EST. Actions will halt an hour before the scheduled time. Since players can hail from all over the world, it is important that they know which time zone they are in so that they can know when to expect the next narration. Here's a GMT conversion table.

"Here's how it works. Figure out where in the world you live and locate that place on the map. Follow the line you're living in down to the bottom of the map and locate a number down there. Use that number to change the time. If you live in a +6 zone then the narration will be up at 12 MIDNIGHT. If you live in a +12 then it will be up at 6 AM.

Roles:

PRO TOWN:
1 Detective
1 Vigilante
2 Medic
1 Paranoid
1 Veteran
(?) Townies

Criminals:
Mafia:
1 Godfather
1 Mad Hatter
2 Hitman

Serial Killers:
1 Psychopath

ELECTED/GRANTED POSITIONS
These are additional roles and powers that can be granted to some of the players, via election or random selection. Use them wisely.

Mayor
The Mayor is elected at the start of the game and has numerous roles. His special abilities are:
Seal of the Mayor: Increased vote count of 2 during lynching.
Desperate times, desperate measures: The Mayor can declare 2 double lynches anytime during the game When double lynches are in effect each player gets two votes on two different people.(must notify me during night cycle or early on in the day so voting can be arranged accordingly).
Did you ever know that you're my hero…: Both mayor and Pardoner cannot be killed during the night while the bodyguard(s) remain alive. The mayor will be informed of the identity of the bodyguards.
Let's celebrate!: The Mayor has the option of insta-lynching one player by the end of Day 1, once he's won the election. No voting takes place. Whoever the Mayor picks gets lynched. Take heed though if you plan to use this ability since no clues have been given that could help point you at a criminal at that time.

Pardoner
As a check and balance to the Mayor, the pardoner is the runner up to the Mayor.

Bodyguard
Random Townies (role, not the group) will receive the role of bodyguard once the mayor has been elected. The bodyguards and the mayor will be informed of their identities. As long as the bodyguards are alive, the Mayor and the Pardoner cannot be killed via night hits. A bomb sent to a protected person will also be intercepted.

PRO TOWN!
Lynch a bad guy during the day. Survive the night. Rinse and repeat. Players who are Pro Town are in business to save Townston from corruption.

Vigilante
You are the caped crusader of Townston. A masked man who has decided to take the law into his own hands. Each night you can target and kill someone who you believes to be a villain. Be careful who you chose though because you just might be taking out a friendly.

Medic
You have the ability to watch one other player during the night, which you must tell me about before the end of night. When a player is watched he cannot die unless the number of people attacking him outnumbers the number of people watching him or his night lives. In other words if two mafia members attack a person being watched by one paramedic, the person will die. The narrative will state that someone was attacked but saved and the narration will include a clue pointing out the identity of the attacker. It does not matter if the paramedic chooses to watch someone before or after he is attacked; he will protect that person regardless. The Paramedic will also intercept bombs sent to a townie during the night he is under watch and can discover planted bombs.

Veteran
You've been around the block a few times and know how to escape an attack on your life. But for how long? The veteran gets two lives, meaning two hits must be made on him before he dies. A veteran can survive a bombing attempt if he still has both night lives but it will count as a hit attempt.

The Detective
The detective is after the bad guys of Townston. His brilliant reasoning skills and numerous contacts makes him among the best investigators in the Town. The Detective is capable of using his powers both day and night.
And you are?: Using this ability the Detective can find out much about the person that he's scrutinizing. Things like, what size of shoes he wears, his favorite brand of toothpaste, magazine subscription but most importantly, he can find out if the villager is a Pro Townie or a Criminal. (Mafia and serial killers will show up as Criminals, unless they have powers to help hide their identities.) This power can only be used twice during the whole game.
Who dun it?: Whenever a crime has been committed, it's up to the detective to investigate the crime scene. Should he choose to investigate someone, the detective can figure out if that someone was responsible for the crime (The detective can ask the GM if a specific player committed a specific crime and get a yes/no answer).
This election has been rigged!: Looking up the vote results, the detective can figure out if any criminals participated in the election. Should he choose to use this power he'll be able to find out if any criminals voted for a specific player (mayoral or lynch) and also how many criminals voted in it. This power can only be used once.

Paranoid
The paranoid is a wee bit unhinged by his experiences in some horrible and bloody war. During days, he's perfectly normal but during the night he keeps to himself and relives the horrors of his past. The Paranoid will kill whoever was the first person to target him in any way during the night, whether it be mafia or townie (such as a paramedic opting to protect him). The Paranoid is unable to NOT kill, but will only kill one person a night. Should two persons interact with him during the night, the first person will die but the second will not. Special note, investigation powers can be used on him without fear of death since the Detective is merely investigating him and checking his background and is not directly interacting with him. Also, the paranoid is not aware that he's insane and thus believes himself to be a normal townie.

Townie
As a townie, you stand to lose big, should the mafia ever manage to take control of the town. Be critical! Be suspicious! Most importantly, be on time to vote for a lynch or you won't have any fun at all.

CRIMINALS!

MAFIA
The mafias win condition is to kill all the townies and rival opposition. Unlike townies, all mafia members know who each other are. All mafia members can kill once per night cycle. With the exception of the Godfather, a mafia member cannot kill fellow mafia.

Godfather
Like the Mayor, the godfather has several special abilities in his arsenal.
Send him a message: The godfather is able to leave a severed horse head in the target's bed. This will scare the targeted player, causing him to go into hiding for the next day and night cycle. During this time the player can't perform any action at all. He can't vote for the next lynch and he can't use his powers if he has any. While the player is in hiding he can't be killed. A person who's already been targeted with a horse head attack can't be targeted again.
Call in a favor: The Godfather can once per game, cancel a lynch. If he uses that ability, during a double lynch, both lynches are canceled.
He gains the ability to kill once per night but looses all benefits he received from his Behind the curtains power. If the godfather is the only mafia member left, this power is automatically activated.

Mad Hatter
Each night, the Mad Hatter is able to plant a single bomb on someone or detonate a bomb that's already been planted. He can't plant a bomb and detonate during the same night. The Mad Hatter can at most keep two undetonated bombs in circulation but is free to plant more once he's detonated or lost one of them. Every time he detonates a bomb, a clue is given about his identity. Should the mad hatter be killed either through a lynch or a night hit, all bombs in circulation will detonate, killing his targets. If a target of his somehow dies by other means, the mad hatter loses that bomb. That bomb is also discovered on the body, which gives the townies a clue who the Mad Hatter might be. Bombs can be intercepted by a protector, giving a clue to the identity of the Mad Hatter as well. Also if a paramedic chooses to protect someone with an undetonated bomb already planted, it will be discovered.

Hitman
You are the mafia hitman. Each night you get to stab somebody in the face. Don't forget to have fun.

SERIAL KILLER
While the serial killer is not allied with the Mafia, they're none the less dangerous people. Their ultimate goal is to be the last people standing or cause as much chaos as possible.

Psychopath
If it moves, you kill it. If it's standing still, you shake it so it moves and then you kill it. You love the smell, taste and texture of a blood. Your epiphany is the sound of a screaming victim. In short, you're not right in the head. Each night you must kill someone of your choice to satisfy your blood lust. Leave none left standing.

Lots of great submissions for this game.

One favor I like to ask Bff and Anthony, though.

Could you bold the role names and underline the names of the powers? It would make reading through your game description a little bit more comfortable.

P.S: Just to make it clear, for those who care; 46 is XLVI in roman.

Another edit. Heh… Clear - care. I'm a poet and I don't know it.

But clear and care don't really rhyme?

BFF, does the brute have a night action to do? You just said that he is immune to the taser.

They posted a "set-up", isn't that enough?

No. The point of the sign ups is to see how the narrations will be made how they use clues and what now. A game concept can be good, but the narration is how the GM communicates with the players. Narrations make or ruin games. Hence why a sample necessary for the elections.

Henceforth you should all vote for 1337.

CLUES
"looks like your battery's flat mate," - Mate is the clue here, seeing as I'm Australian.
But the figure had nothing to say about themself. - My profile just says "…"
The whole electricity thing was a reference to Thor's THUNDERshack.
Also, narrations will be posted at around 11PM Australian Eastern Standard. 1300 GMT.

Gah, can't wait to play again :) all of the ideas are so interesting and sound like heaps of fun, but I do indeed have a favourite.

But I will be so piss'd if its veteran players only. I'll just have to lurk if that happens.

Why would a game be veteran players only? That'd pretty much kill Mafia like a knife through the skull. Newbies keep the blood in the veins of the game pumping! Without more fodder to burn, HOW WILL WE FIRE OUR CANNONS?!

It only says the GM has to be a veteran, not all the playahs!

I think Salsa wrote that to be sure us noobies don't go all crazy and fail at GM'ing.
