While probably "Awww" inspiring, the 'Happy New Year' thread is a little monotonous… (and perhaps a bit retarded because of it.)
I figured this one would allow the same wishes of good cheer in the new year while allowing you all to expand a bit.
My resolutions are
1) to find some people to help model my characters for me so I can get one of my comics going… (I have a hard time drawing without references, but am pretty good when I use them.)
2) get Poinko motivated to work on eXtra Ordinary with me again so we can get it running and possibly published…
3) exercise more. <_<
(Those aren't really plugs. Notice I left no links to the mentioned projects…)
Start publishing on
DD Comics!
Resolutions. (no... not monitor related...)
Lets seee my new years resolution.
(1). Loose some weight (mother forcing this on me)
(2). get a associates degree in something (seriously I can't decide)
(3). Draw better then I usually do.
(4). GET A JOB.
(5). To actually quite ONLINE GAMING!!!
(6). Get several new comics out of my head. (my mind won't let me sleep it just goes on with so many stories its ridiculous)
1. Get into art school.
2. Move out of my parents' house.
3. Write more, and finish something. (novel, short story, comic script - it doesn't really matter what.)
4. Keep up the once-a-week-schedule for my comic come hell or high water.
5. Start building steampunk gadgets out of junk. Because I can. :)
Lose some weight…30-40 pounds would be superb. Then, I'd be at Batman's weight, and really…who thinks he's overweight?
Keep up on Rival Angels AND make it go 3X a week instead of twice a week.
Post more often here. Lots of great people with a lot of great stories.
Be happy. Not so much a resolution as it is a guideline. I'm usually a pretty happy person.
My New Year's resolutions end up degenerating into a massive "to-do" list…so all those items aside, I've only made one actual resolution. It's in quote form:
"Be a force of fortune instead of a feverish, selfish little clod of ailments and grievances complaining that the world will not devote itself to making you happy." - George Bernard Shaw
I read this years ago and think of it every so often - but I've never actually applied it to my life before. It's DIFFICULT.
I have three resolutions and they can be found here. …Ah what the heck, I'll post them here too.
1) Lose Weight. I started today by buying a bike with my husband.
2.) Quit Drinking. I'm doing this for health reasons and I'm tired of being sick and tired all the time.
3.) Quit World of Warcraft. The countless hours I spend levelling my blood elf rogue could have been used drawing & reading & doing more productive things, so I cancelled my WoW account today. Huzzah.
…By the way Randal, kick-ass avatar. I had that record album when I was a kid. :)
