just wondering generally if i'm weird–

actually yes i probably am, but.

does anyone else here actually sit down to eat three full meals per day? with me its like i wake up, go to class, do some work, and usually don't get around to eating anything at all, let alone sitting down to eat it, until around 3 or 4 in the afternoon. i take vitamins and drink lots of water, but still, some days it just seems odd to me.

Maybe if you ate properly you wouldn't have to ram pills down your throat.

Everybody does it, it's not unusual. But it's in the same that dying isn't unusual.

Plenty of people say they don't have time to eat properly, (which is like saying you don't have time to breathe) it really doesn't take that long to prepare a meal. And if you don't have time for that, then I'd have to question how you're capable of living past the age of ten.

Thinking about it - I usually do get three meals a day. The timing of them is usual though, because I work twelve-hour nights. When most people are eating dinner I eat breakfast XD We can't eat out on the floor, but we get five breaks between the twelve hours, so there's plenty of time to grab some food.

My parents, though, don't get three meals from what they tell me. They work twelve hours too, plus they have an hour commute to the city, and their jobs are very busy. But they're also allowed to eat on the job. They pack a bag full of stuff and eat it like several small meals throughout the day.

I tend to skip breakfast (because I'm simply not hungry in the morning), but I do eat solid meals for lunch and dinner.

Mind you, skipping breakfast tends to make me eat sandwiches at odd times during the day instead….

I have all three meals. I usually have something weird for breakfast (like soup), every lunch is pizza. Seriously. Dinner's my favourite, as everyday, we sit down as a family and eat a good ol' fashioned home cooked meal. It's nearly always rice, but still, the atmosphere and the tasty food always makes me feel refreshed.

I can't eat breakfast as soon as I wake up because I end up feeling ill for some reason. I have to wait at least an hour. So I usually end up eating brunch and then dinner. We eat dinner a bit early so that afterwards around 10pm or so we have tea time. During which time we have tea usually accompanied by a sammich or nothing at all.

Yup - I eat. Not especially healthy food, but I always find time to eat three meals a day. Usually just cereals for breakfast, a sandwich at lunch time and some kind of microwave meal in the evening. Oh, and probably some fruit.

It's not an especially healthy diet but I'd guess it's probably healthier than pills and water. So, go eat - it's what all those internal organs were made for!

Sometimes I do, sometimes I don't.

I sleep in late alot of the time, so my usual breakfast would technically be lunch. Also, if I'm too lazy to make any kind of dinner that requires actual effort put into it (like if we run out of dinners you can just microwave or throw in the oven), than I'll just wind up eating several small snacks (i.e. a small bag of chips or something) throughout the day.

I try to get a little something (like one of those easy yogurt smoothies or something) for breakfast because, while I usually manage lunch at work and the like, sometimes it doesn't happen until rather late in the day. Lunch happens most of the time and dinner depends on whether my lunch was late enough to interfere with being hungry in the evening or not.

I'd say I get three meals about half the time, two the other half.

I have five meals a day:P

And I'm starting to think I have a tapeworm or something in me because I'm stick skinny.

I eat three meals a day, and everyone who knows me is still shocked at how much food I put away because I've weighed about 135 pounds for the past 5 years. Apparently my stomach is breaking the First Law of Conservation of Matter.

I usually eat a baked potato at lunch and then whatever I can get for dinner.

But I snack like it's a fucking sport. Generally it's things like Life cereal or Frosted Mini Wheats, but I also bought a few boxes of fudge brownies.

Brownies.

I have to have 3 meals plus sometimes snacks in-between. I eat at the weirdest times. I usually feel like it's best to get my kids ready for school and get to work before I eat…unless I'm starving, in which case it doesn't matter. And I must have meat for breakfast, even if I have to cook (which I never have time for).

I work 4 10-hour shifts a week, so I usually match my patterns of breaks and lunch to my all around schedule. I prefer to eat before 10pm but if it's a work night, that's pretty difficult, as I don't get home till around 8:30pm or later (Central Time). Dinner is usually not a stuff-your-face fest…unless I'm starving, in which case it doesn't matter! :)

I have a ridiculously fast metabolism…but really, that's not a good thing.

Anyway, I think breakfast and lunch are the most important meals of the day. Dinner is just icing on the proverbial cake.

ditto for me. i eat like a 13 year old overweight boy. i eat breakfast as soon as i get up, and it is usually one of the most unhealthy things you could ever imagine, like cinnamon toast crunch or double fudge frosted pop tarts. and for lunch i usually grab whatever's in the snack machine and some wonderful poison-filled diet soda. then i get home and snack like a lazy ho, then i eat dinner around 4 and it's usually something crappy like a tv dinner or sandwich because that's all the tards that run my household buy.

i would eat healthier if i could buy my own groceries.

i think i have an addiction to food. i can't resist food unless i'm on the verge of puking. i don't understand how people can "forget" to eat. i wish i could forget to eat sometimes.

Hmm, I think I'm more like blu than you, Short_C. ;) I forget to eat all the time!

Mind you, that's mainly laziness… or just being very intense about whatever it is I'm doing. I find it hard to tear myself away from things… writing and drawing particularly. When I'm drawing I forget to eat, drink, smoke, sleep… and occasionally breathe. :/ This is not good potatos.

On a non-drawing day I eat normally, I suppose. I have to, or I get hungry at work, and then end up snacking loads. Much better to just eat a coupla cardboard weetabixes first thing and be done with it until lunch.

If I DARE try to eat like that… I'd get:

- high blood pressure
- be at 250 lbs (FAT)
- get possible foot deformities because the feet can only support so much weight. when I weighed 250 lbs, I could feel it in my ankles. Like its gonna cave in or something.

I HAVE TO watch my diet. :( Especially the sodium content of food. Too much of it can shoot up my blood pressure.

Maybe I got low metabolism.

At least it saves me $$$ in grocery bills. lol

I eat fine, usually I just have two big meals a day. It's the snacking in between that packs on the pounds for me…especially during the winter, with holidays n' such. I've been bad at the snacking again….bad me. BAD. B-b-but….GINGERBREAD COOKIES!

If anyone in my family is going to get diabetes…it'll probably be me. Damn my sweet tooth.

My eating habits have no set schedule. I eat when I'm hungry. Which is only about twice in a day. I'm always ravenous when I wake up, which is random because I also don't have a set sleeping pattern. A snack about half way through if I'm hungry. And then a meal a few hours after work, if I'm not too tired from working to eat. Some nights I'm tired enough I go to bed, some my insomnia kicks in and I'm up all night, some I have a weird burst of energy and don't go to bed until late. Soo…LOL. It's all pretty random.
