Reading: "Jack the Giant Killer" by Charles De Lint
Listening to: "Liar" Taking Back Sunday
As an artist/writer with very little time on her hands, I find it far easier to write the surprise ending so that I can use the rest of the comic to lead up to it. ^_^ It's a very useful trick actually and it prevents me from doing fillers since I already figured out the ending. I'm thinking a lot of suspense, mystery, and thirller writers probably do the same - especially with mysteries since you have to have so many clues and let them lead up to stuff.
