Let us begin with what many consider to be the "main character," which personally I don't get. Really, there aren't any "main characters." But for all intents and purposes, let us say that the main character here is Leonard Erland.

Leonard Erland (25) is a tall, formidable black man with the power to control earth. He has a scar on his face, the origins of which should be revealed in my NaNo… one day. He is often considered the "smart one," even though he didn't really have much schooling and just has a tendency to have a better grasp on logic than the people who hang around him. He is often seen in bars with Garrett Wight.

Garrett Wight is a scrawny, average-sized man with a ton of bad habits. In his free time, which he has quite a lot of, he enjoys drinking, womanizing, stealing from "Some Dumb Chump," and avoiding people he owes money to. He is the one that is actually educated, and yet he continues to do stupid things. He will not disclose his age, even to the author. Has a preference to blondes.

Hans Erland (22) is Leonard's brother, spends most of his time upside-down, and is a cannibal. He loves his big brother and would do anything for him, at least he would now. There was a time once… but that is a story for another time. Like his brother, he has a supernatural power. However, his powers involve imprinting himself into other people's minds and using those minds to his advantage… when he can.

Eliza… controls ink. There is more about her, but disclosing much more information would be a spoiler. As far as we can tell, she doesn't like these sorts of conflicts.

Emmeline… is blonde and crazy. She is one of Hans' victims and will probably destroy us all.
