Thread "Awards!" in forum "Harkovast- Art"

Harkovast was nominated for an impressive 9 categories in the 2009 DD Awards.
And we won the category for best anthro comic!
Wooohooo!
Thanks to everyone who voted for us!
Here is the celebratory banner-

I even wrote a limerick to celebrate-

Chen-Chen inflicts powerful hits
That smash all the bad guys to bits
Though her kung fu is good
It is not understood
How a reptile can grow such big…toes.

(For some reason, I cant think of a final word that fits!)

There were lots of great Harkovast related images in the presentation comics people made, which I really enjoyed. In fact, I liked them so much that I have collected all of them here for you to enjoy-

I can honestly say they all have something I really like about….
Though you cant get much better then a giant Nameless in a bow tie!

Those different rendtions of the harkovast guys are awesome, some really quality work that make the characters range from looking comical to heroic. The last panel should be larger, because its cool seeing sir muir purring and habig a smaller panel doesnt do it justice!

I love the first panel cos i can just imagine sir muir saying "hello" like Mr Bean (a british comedy with rowan atkinson). Heres looking forward to seeing sir muir walking round with a turkey on his head haha!

I love the fourth panel though where it looks like garfield in a suit of platemail. Genius!

Redemption has added another picture, to show a more accurate depiction of my mood while waiting for the award to be announced.

Pretty much spot on!

Edit- I made the bottom right picture by Elaine a bit bigger so it is clearer.
I jsut copied and pasted before, and it was small on the original comic. Now it should be esaier to see.

Nice to see all the presentation Harkovast shots together - somehow I missed the Nameless' bow-tie in the presentation till you pointed it out. Classic!

One subtle thing that I liked in the top picture by Lucky767s is that all the characters are acting quite 'in character'.
Chen-Chen is giving a polite wave, Sir Muir is waving enthusiastically like an idiot and Shogun is looking stern and serious.
That is definitely how I imagine those three would act in the very unlikely event that they were at an award ceremony together.
