With a boys tale I wanted to tell a micro story, something to open Malefic Tales and show what could be done if one wanted.
It isn't a story about the end of the world or monsters, it is about the boy/man not being able to remember his fathers face.

I also wanted to experiment with the art a little. originally all the lettering was going to be done by hand, sadly when reduced to the size I wanted it wasn't very clear so I erased it and added it digitally.

The story is being told by an adult recalling the doomsday event, so clearly humanity survives to some degree. I may revisit that character one day and tell another tale of the boy.
