There is magic in the world of Lore, actually there aew a number of different types.
Arcane Magic.
The use of spells and incantations to harness the power of the universe. no-one truly understand how it works, merely how to use it. 
Inate power
Sorcerers are born with powers, they use the energy from their mind and body to create magic effects.  As such usage tires them.  Sorcerers are very rare.
Divine power.
Power granted by the gods of which there are many.
