'Complications,' said the doctor, his voice dry, annoyed, casually setting my child aside as the bedsheets soaked in blood.
It made not a sound. Not a sniffle or a whimper.
The sadness in my mother's eyes… the anger in my father's.

The city would not forgive my sin."


page 2. i like the way most of these panels came out, though they don't flow as well as i'd like when you merge them all together.
