Here we get our first good look at the young Joshua Brand, as well as our first demon. The effect across the top is meant to reveal Joshua's innate ability to "see" the demons in their human disguises, a trick used throughout the prologue. I liked the use of the word balloons to convey the transition in addition to the panel art. For those curious, the fonts that Brent used to letter the book were from Blambot (www.blambot.com).

As the book's prologue is set during the early seventies, Brent threw in the Zeppelin and Nixon tags, which I thought were fun nods to the times.
