As Joshua makes his way home, the demon presence is becoming more perceptible, an ominous sign of things to come. One of the important notions of the Killings Demons world is that the demons don't necessarily think like us. They're evil incarnate and are prone to toying with their prey, as a cat to a mouse, regardless of the rational consequences; which holds doubly true for the foot soldiers.
Brent and I went back and forth on the final placement of Joshua's body in the second panel because we wanted to get the sense of movement exactly right. It's odd the things you dwell on in retrospect, which is part of the fun of the collaboration process.
Once again, Brent sneaked in a tip of the hat to the seventies with the Pink Floyd tag in the first panel.
