I was about 9 the first time I saw someone die.
A cop shot an armed robber in a grocery hold up
in down town Philadelphia. Dozens of people watched
as this guy screamed out in pain then gurgled a little
then quietly stopped breathing. It took just less
than ten minutes. That's a long time.
