Some times a name tells a lot about a character …The name Cora has roots in myth.. it was a way to talk about Persephone (goddess of the underworld) with out saying her name…she could be a B**** it means maiden.. its also the name of a heroine in "the last of the Mohicans"… and sort of a nod at Coretta king..

and yes hel would be the correct spelling …
