The venerable Skoolmunkee is the special guest this week! This time we have a completely biased and entirely uninformed chat about all aspects of sprite comicing, from their short and turbulent history, to their glittering present and beyond into a glorious galaxy spanning empire that they will one day be responsible for creating!
Here we are, ready for round two of the 2011 Drunk Duck Awards Quackcast! Niccea returns to preside over the announcing of the rest of the DD awards, including the most important ones like Best comic!
It's that time of year, the Drunk Duck Awards have rolled around again. This year Niccea is the Awards Empress, taking over from JustNoPoint and she has done a marvellous job with all the complications she's had to deal with. In this Quackcast we announce which comics have won awards so far.
It's the horror time of year, and for once we get a Quackcast out in time for the holiday! PIT_FACE is our guest this week, and as DD's queen of horror she has plenty of expertise and opinions on the subject.
oz is the expert on this one, which focuses on advice about designing a comic website which makes your comic look good and is easy to navigate, as well as some advice about logos and branding. skool has her own opinions as well!
Zac rejoins oz and skool this week for a fun and enlightening talk about cosplay! Together oz and zac have a good bit of experience on the subject (skool's a bit ignorant) and they cover the range from what it is and how to do it, to how webcomicers in particular might benefit.
This week, Zac of The New Luciefer joins skoolmunkee and ozoneocean to talk about the featured comics and 24 Hour Comics Day. skool and oz have never done it, but Zac (as of recording) is just about to!
oz and skool are catching up on features again, so they've got four good ones to talk about. They also chat a little bit about contests and things which contest-creators might think about.
This extra-special Quackcast is all about ayesinback and the 2011 Drunk Duck Radio Play! A big effort by a lot of people, it's presented here along with a great chat with ayesinback, czarina of the project.
In this extra-ordinary length podcast about extra-ordinary webcomics, skoolmunkee and ozoneocean talk about how media, format, topic (and other features) may factor into whether a comic is "traditional" or not. And some of their favorite examples!
ozoneocean had big plans for his trip to San Diego Comic Con to promote his comic, which basically went completely wrong in almost every way possible. He tells his story and what he did to try and recover. What could go wrong for you and what would you do?
ozoneocean is back! He and skoolmunkee are changing the features format a bit this week to more discussion, less blurb. As there wasn't a Quackcast last week, they've got four features to talk about this time. Since they've had to try a few things out this week, the features make up the entire show.
Kroatz joins skoolmunkee today to talk about the huge topic of world-building. All kinds of things should be taken into consideration, so this episode should be a lot of food for thought!
