Honestly, I wish I had her hair. Unfortunately, she got it through body modification that's very common among the middle and upper class of Kephan society. She had her follicles changed to grow her hair purple, and had other, ahem, enhancements. This sort of thing isn't considered bad in their society, anymore than ear piercing in our society.
