The text from the second-to-last panel is a quote from The Maxx (written by Sam Kieth & William Messner-Loebs)… still one of my all-time favorite comics.
The lines about estrogen tricks and chromosomes are mine though… and can I say I love'em? :-D Sorry to all the women out there, if there are any who are reading this!
BTW, what Sunhra is saying in the first panel is true.
…and Midge is still huh? :-)
REPLIES:
man in black: Thanks a lot, and welcome!
DAJB: Nah… not really. But it's worth a try, eh?
Fitz: Well, she's just… self-conscious, I guess. The problem is - HE's NOT. And just to be fair, you can't say she didn't give him a chance (I know you didn't imply that, but it's always sort of an undercurrent I guess). I think from her POV it is very obvious that she hasn't done anything to justify his hostile behavior. As for the panel order: That's one problem I became aware of when inking this page, but then it was already too late. I'll try to fix it for the printed version though.
JNP: For the panel order issue, see my reply to Fitz. I also think that the foot's breaking the panel border is part of the problem. Thanks for the compliments, I really enjoy doing this scene myself! As for the estrogen tricks… I imagine he's referring to past experiences, but it's nothing definite here.
alejkhan: Thanks a lot… if this page were a sentence, it'd be kind of like an exclamation mark, eh?
Midge: Who doesn't? :-) It's just… the bunny rabbits in my comic kinda look like people. But other than that - no difference.
Jabali: Oh YES.
cda, flapjack1995, Carbajal3000: Thanks!
Fly Hue: That's the greatest reward, pleasing a fellow Maxx fan! Thanks a lot (and I'll have to agree on what you wrote about Tim Burton and The Corpse Bride in your profile too)!
