I thought I should try a rather strict grid at least once.

REPLIES:

Nepath, mmm bacon0, Agham: Thanks!

Jabali: Glad you do, thanks a lot!

alejkhan: Sometimes nothing seems better than everything. Too much is just… too much :)

Unigirl: Whew, and I was afraid I wasn't making any sense at all! :)

DAJB: Heh, never knew them that well, I'm afraid :)

Fitz: Thanks a lot! My aim is to make every new page your new favorite page :) You should be able to tell if a German says "Zen" or "Sinn", but I won't have too much trouble translating this page :) And as always, your observations are very accurate… I always have to think of Wittgenstein's "private language argument", but that may be only because I read about it every other day. The fact that "the mind" - its evolution, its formation, and keeping it - depends on something like a community also hints at the dependence of the subjective realm on the intersubjective. In that sense you can't really be all alone encased within your mind - the fact that you have one tells you that there are other minds as well. Again, that's reminiscent of the Cartesian cogito, only this time it's "I think, therefore others think". And geeks are only geeks within a community of non-geeks :)

JNP: Hah! You can't be too shallow - after all, you seem to like this comic :D And I think our cowgirl is understating a bit: She's holding her own very well in this conversation… even the smartest people mix up words now and then! As for how I wrote this: I almost always write these dialogues after walking home late at night. So the important factors would be: (1) Darkness (2) Walking (3) Late. That's what gets my gears turning. And thanks so much for the b-word. But…

…wait a minute…

…there's something else to do on Friday evenings other than making comics? Even if there was… we wouldn't be making comics if we weren't at least a bit antisocial, eh?

Fitz (again): lol… thanks for sharing that. I guess I should look it up on google earth :)

strangegem: Yes. I already am :-)
