Chapter 4 Prologue 2

I'm not too fond of using "signified" as a noun, but since "signifikat" seems only applicable in German, I figured this was the only way to go. The original term would be "signifié" (French), as introduced by Ferdinand de Saussure (I think). More on that here.

Fitz: I heard synaesthetics wouldn't even have to try ;-) And thanks - writing this is always like plunging in head first for me, and I'm never quite sure how it turns out, so positive feedback is highly welcomed.

DAJB: I considered it, but… it doesn't sound much like the technical term I would want it to be. Still undecided, though.

Jabali: :3

webcomics heh: Sounds like a good reason to me! Thanks!

mmm bacon0, man in black, Akki333: Thanks!

    That was deep.

You don't want to use "significance", no?

Wonderfully poetic! It left me in a child-like awe. It tends to happen when I try to visualize abstracts as something physical - like "the space between the words and the meaning" It's sea-green to me. So I imagine it being at the bottom of the sea. Which - like outer space - tends to creep me out, in a weird way. It's sort of… fearful mellow. Dark, but calm.
