 On this same page on SmackJeeves I paid tribute to both Emi and Becky for the amount of work they have both put into colouring on this for us. People often remark on the story and the art which is really nice and naturally the colouring is a big part of the art too but I normally leave that totally within the control of my colorists who do a great job in breathing life into the plain b+w linework. It's always been a real buzz for me to get the pages back at the end of a week and see their own interpretation of the scene and many times both Emi and Becky have made the page look even more fabulous than I'd ever expected. Taking this page as an example it was Becky's idea to give the bed wine red sheets to help create a pretty Gothic atmosphere and the pressure marks left on Stacey's shoulder in panel five was another lovely personal touch of hers too. Emi also added her own personal thoughts and ideas throughout the first four chapters in the same way so I' feel really fortunate during my six years on the comic to have had their support.
