i regularly hear metal clanging noises in the alley and i never fail to get a small fear that its someone with a ladder thats gonna pop up at my window. i'm legitimately surprised out of the 18 years i've lived here, it's only happened once.

(they were window cleaners)

(my mom and i didnt know our building had window cleaners even though this was only a couple years ago)

(i've never seen one since then)

(also my dad, who frequently loses his keys and phone, knows how to get into the apartment from the windows so like. anyone could do it……..)
