We don't see eye to eye on this either. Here are my excuses, in case they're hard to read (I drew this with a sharpie, everything else was dead/dying):

*traded them for magic beans
*forgot to water them and they dried up
*they went on vacation and ended up being taken hostage, negotiations are being done
