I also went to court for my accident back in January. I have to take Drivers Safety and it'll finally be over. But that wasn't as interesting as dreaming about Morrissey and writing something decent for the first time in about 3 months. In case you can't read the poem, here it is:

The Passage of Martin Canson
These days my stark, blind countenance grows heavy on this frame.
And, kept by meager precidence, they build to all but fame -
a feeble grasp at honesty to share with all held dear
lest one be burdened more than all and, by my burden, hear
a passage pressed upon a page by simple man and ink
in all its fullness (pitiful, pathetic truth). "To think,
such arrogance! And why would we so care to spy upon
a malcontent, malevolent, deciduous withdrawn?"

Perhaps, in patient passing time, to shelter shy attempts
at linking likenesses through little quips, although inept.
Perambulation's pointless when a year (nay, more!) has gone
yet all of strangers still remain as such, excepting some
whose faces glow in memories as little more than lights
to chronicle this stage and its events to stave off spite
for thorough years of venturing, in search of subtle smiles
whene'er this countenance shall pass and sentiment beguiles.

In part, I pray for recompense for sorrowed years apart
from you, my love, who may you be, known only in my heart.
And if by providence you spy this shape I've come to own,
I'd be remiss should you not make your fleeting passage known.
