Biology, part 2

Well, we finish our two parter today and introduce Mrs. Stark. Just like all of the teachers, she is very important, but in a different way. As we saw Tuesday DJ does not care for biology at all, and she will be a big part in him learning to enjoy the sciences (even if it is just because science is used in CSI).Originally, when I was planning out Advanced Placement I did not have Mrs. Stark as the biology teacher. My idea was to have one class that DJ HATED, and would be the source of a lot of sarcastic jokes from him. When I got to thinking about it, however, I realized that that is not who DJ is. He is a positive person, and to put that sort of light on him, would really just warp his character.

The other reason that I decided to include her is because she is inspired by a teacher who had an impact on my life, just like all of the teachers featured in this comic. Part of what I am doing with this strip is chronicling my life, starting with high school, and, since school was a major part of my life, I decided to include all of the teachers who had an impact
