The Play's the Thing, part 9

Alright, we finally know Mike’s role in the play, and we have the main conflict. Now, I am going to take a moment to talk about the comic in general, and particularly this episode. A great deal of the people that read the comic at this point were involved with me in drama, and, while I like to do situations that reflect interesting parts of my life, I am in no way doing a copy and paste of what happened. The set up of the play is very similar to a production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream that I did in high school, and, on Friday, it will be revealed that the plot of the play is a rip off of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. This is NOT, however, going to be an 80s version of the play. The reason why I had the set up be as such (there are a lot better plays I could have chosen from) is because I wanted to emphasize that the previous drama director was not very good, and chose a bad rip off of a classic work.

Anyway, sorry about that, but I wanted to clear all of this up, because I do not want people who were involved with drama to feel like they will not get the jokes, because everything is very different from the actual events.
